A Dental Implant is a small titanium screw used to replace missing or lost teeth. It is well tolerated by the body and serves as the natural tooth root to support a crown, bridge, or full or partial denture, restoring the aesthetic and masticatory function of the original natural dentition.
This treatment involves two phases: the surgical phase and the prosthetic rehabilitation phase. In the first phase, the Dentist places the Implant, which corresponds to the \'root of the new tooth.\' In the second phase, after the Implant integrates with the bone, the Dentist places the prosthesis (crown/bridge) on top of the Implant.
Implantology is an important treatment for replacing lost or missing teeth. Implants are an excellent alternative to conventional prosthetics and are placed to restore aesthetics, function, and patient comfort.
